I had the maiden voyage of my 49 just before i had to return to iceland and work. acccording to the registration it has been 44 years since the car was driven. even tho it lacked fenders and hood no doors or tailgate- i pulled out of my garage put the grand kids in and drove up the hill and down. what a thrill. The engine purrsand the last 4 years of effort was worth it. It then went to the upholstery shop and next to Klines in Manchester to get the doors installed. when i return it will be to install the hood, complete front end sheet metal and rear fenders, tailgate. then off to the paint shop for the final sanding prepping and paint. then the electrical work the crome whew! hope to be road worthy and legal by May.
