This car has been in our family since December 1938. My grandfather bought it new in NY and shipped to the south of France where my family lived. WWII broke out and they fled their villa with whatever they could put in the car and left. He forged paperwork to have it shipped back to the States and then moved to Southern California. It has been restored since April 2010. It's always been in good shape.

Not just a great looking wagon but a lot of history to go along with it. Have you collected family history and stories older folks about this car. It would no doubt be of interest to future generations and add to the provenance of the car. Thanks for sharing with us. This is one of the very few Westchesters I have ever seen. The earliest I have seen in person was a 1941.
